5 Reasons Why You Should See Black Panther

Black Panther has done the impossible.

It has managed to steal most of the limelight from Avengers: Infinity War, which would be hands down the biggest movie in Marvel Cinematic Universe yet. Directed by Ryan Coogler, Black Panther, starring Chadwick Boseman, Michael B Jordan and Lupita Nyong’o, may become the biggest standalone MCU movie, minus Captain America: Civil War.

First featured in Civil War, T’Challa fought on Iron Man’s side. In Black Panther, he returns to his homeland, the fictional African nation of Wakanda, and finds himself surrounded by multiple threats, chief of whom comes from Michael B Jordan’s Erik Killmonger. Let’s take a look at five reasons why you should watch this film.

5 Reasons Why You Should See Black Panther

Black Panther: T’Challa, as Black Panther, is not a feline in just name. His fighting style and agility are similar to that of an actual panther, complete with claws (albeit made of Vibranium).

His fighting style in Civil War was just a glimpse of what he could do. In Black Panther, he sports a reinforced, stronger and more hi-tech suit.

Michael B Jordan as Erik Killmonger: Killmonger is a lethal villain, and Michael B Jordan has shown considerable acting chops before this.

His character’s backstory may be somewhat different from the comics, but he still wants to sabotage T’Challa and his claim to the throne.

Andy Serkis as Ulysses Klaue: Andy Serkis has done so much motion acting that we forget he is also a good live-action actor.

He plays a smuggler and terrorist operating out of South Africa. Serkis has described Klaue as somebody like Osama bin Laden. In the trailer, he appears only in one scene, but we expect he has a much bigger role in the movie.

Visuals: For the movie, director Ryan Coogler and cinematographer Rachel Morrison have created a flashy visual style which would suit a futuristic nation like Wakanda.

The movie looks amazing and it would be a visual treat to see in finally on the big screen.

Soundtrack: Even those who do not like rap music, Kendrick Lamar’s work is something of a delight. He has created original songs for Black Panther, and, boy, are they awesome.

We don’t know about you, but we cannot wait to get our hands on Lamar’s Black Panther soundtrack album.
